Welcome to Braun's Riverside Lavender Farm, privately owned and operated by Retired Master Gunnery Sergeant Mark Braun and his wife Tammy.
It is a joy and a priviledge to own and operate such a beautiful, scenic, serene farm and we love to share the beauty with others. Over the past four years, folks have traveled from as far as Washington State to view the fields during peak bloom. Until this year, we have welcomed "passers by" at any time, any day of the week. This year, we are going to shoot for a little more structure in an attempt to get a little more accomplished and have slightly more "predictable days".
Our GORGEOUS time of year is from the third week of June, when the Munstead begins to bloom in full. We continue to bloom through the end of August. The second week of July is when the Lavender Phenomenal hits its peak beauty. During this time, photographers are in heaven. The Phenomenal is long, leggy and stunningly beautiful.
This year, we will open our doors on a SEASONAL trial. On Saturday, June 29, we will have our very first "OPEN FARM WEEKEND". Saturday's open farm will begin at 1PM and run through 5pm. On Saturday, we will hold open table craft classes for making your own fresh lavender wreath or lavender wands. Reservations are not necessary. Simply pay your $35.00 class fee at the entrance tent and receive a ticket or wrist band. Find an open seat at one of the craft tables and instructors will be available to assist you. Open craft will not take anyone after 4pm, as it takes 1 hour minimum to complete your craft project. Sunday, June 30, we will open our doors for tours and open table craft classes from 12 NOON till 4PM. Each open farm weekend will run the same, with the same time slots for visitors. Monday through Friday, the farm will be open to visitors from 4pm - 6pm only.
This year we will have a full stock of organic vegetable seedlings, annuals and perennials for sale. Seedling sale hours will be on SUNDAY ONLY, May 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 9AM to 6PM. Our 2019 OPEN Lavender schedule will be as follows:
